A candidate from any stream

REFUND RULES

Basic Eligibility Criteria for all Scholarship

  • The candidate must apply through Sri Balaji University, Pune’s online admission process.
  • The candidate must clear SBUP’s selection process (GD, PI and Essay).
  • Eligible students may apply for one or more scholarships separately by clicking on the below links before the stipulated date and time.
  • If the candidate is eligible, he/she will be awarded only one scholarship for which he/she is eligible.
  • If student of second Year is applying for scholarship, then such student must have passed with minimum 60% marks in earlier year.
  • If student of second Year is applying for scholarship, then such student should not have any backlog in Internal as well as external subjects.
  • The students applying for scholarship should have minimum 75% LHR in the earlier semesters/year.
  • The students applying for scholarship should not have his / her name in the red list.
  • Any student who is found with in disciplined behavior in earlier year/semester shall be disqualified.
  • The existing scholarship recommended to each student is for the current Academic Year 2025-2026.
  • If any student who has been granted the scholarship cancels the admission or discontinues the program in subsequent year, the scholarship amount shall be recovered.

This Scholarship is for the wards of “Uniformed People” such as Defence personnel, Para military, and Police officials.

  • The student’s parents must belong to Defence, Para military, Police services etc.
  • The candidate should have scored minimum 70 % & above marks in 10th class.

As per Government of Maharashtra, GR No. Sankirna/-2022/P.K.91/Vishi-4, Dt. 22nd June 2023, this scholarship is to be given to the 10% of total admitted students, belonging to Maharashtra domicile and who belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) irrespective of the caste, on the basis of merit. The scholarship is 50% concession in the academic fees.

This scholarship is named as Dr. P. C. Shejwalkar Memorial Scholarship (For EWS students).

Bhimrao Ramji alias Babasaheb Ambedkar (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956) was an Indian jurist, economist, social reformer and political leader who headed the committee drafting the Constitution of India from the Constituent Assembly debates, served as Law and Justice minister in the first cabinet of Jawaharlal Nehru, and inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement after renouncing Hinduism.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar graduated from Elphinstone College, University of Bombay, and studied economics at Columbia University and the London School of Economics, receiving doctorates in 1927 and 1923 respectively and was among a handful of Indian students to have done so at either institution in the 1920s. He also trained in the law at Gray's Inn, London. In his early career, he was an economist, professor, and lawyer. His later life was marked by his political activities; he became involved in campaigning and negotiations for India's independence, publishing journals, advocating political rights and social freedom for Dalits, and contributing significantly to the establishment of the state of India. In 1956, he converted to Buddhism, initiating mass conversions of Dalits.

In 1990, the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, was posthumously conferred on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The salutation Jai Bhim used by followers honours him. He is also referred to by the honorific Babasaheb meaning "Respected Father". In order to honour the stupendous work and contribution of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, SBUP proposes to introduce a scholarship in his name.

Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu, MC (26th August 1910 – 5th September 1997), better known as Mother Teresa, in 1950, founded the Missionaries of Charity. AnjezëGonxhe Bojaxhiu was born in Skopje—at the time, part of the Ottoman Empire. After eighteen years, she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived most of her life. Saint Teresa of Calcutta was canonized on 4th September 2016.

Jyotirao Govindrao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890) was an Indian social activist, businessman, anti-caste social reformer and writer from Maharashtra. His work extended to many fields, including eradication of untouchability and the caste system and for his efforts in educating women and oppressed caste people. He and his wife, Savitribai Phule, were pioneers of women's education in India. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule started his first school for girls in 1848 in Pune at Tatyasaheb Bhide's residence or Bhidewada. He, along with his followers, formed the Satyashodhak Samaj (Society of Truth Seekers) to attain equal rights for people from lower castes. People from all religions and castes could become a part of this association which worked for the upliftment of the oppressed classes.

In order to honour his contribution for the upliftment of lower castes people of society, SBUP proposes to introduce a scholarship in his name, the details of which are as follows:’

The main objective of this scholarship is to provide encouragement and to facilitate higher education to the students who belong to the reserved categories as per the following;

The students from “Maharashtra state”, belonging to the Vimukta Jati (VJ), De Notified Tribes (DT) (NT-A), Nomadic Tribes 1 (NT-B), Nomadic Tribes 2 (NT-C), Nomadic Tribes 3 (NT-D), Other Backward Class (OBC), Special Backward Class (SBC), Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) and who are in non-creamy layer.

  • The candidates should have scored equal to or greater than 60% marks at the SSC, HSC and Graduation examination.
  • The scholarship will be of 5% of two years Academic Fees of the concerned program.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was an Indian ruler and a member of the Bhonsle Maratha clan. He initially served as the Jagirdar of Pune after 1664 succeeding his father Shahaji. Eventually, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj carved out his own independent kingdom from the declining Adilshahi sultanate of Bijapur which formed the genesis of the Maratha Empire. In 1674, he was formally crowned the Chhatrapati of his realm at Raigad Fort.

Over the course of his life, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj engaged in both alliances and hostilities with the Mughal Empire, the Sultanate of Golkonda, Sultanate of Bijapur and the European colonial powers. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established a competent and progressive civil rule with well- structured administrative organisations.

The main objective of this scholarship is to provide encouragement and to facilitate higher education of meritorious children of employees of Sri Balaji University, Pune.

  • Only one ward of the employee shall be accommodated in exemption of tuition fee.

Selection Committee: The selection of students for the award of different scholarships shall be done by the following committee;

  • The list of eligible students who are finally selected for the scholarship will be declared after the scrutiny of all the supporting documents (from the competent authorities) by the scrutiny committee and the completion of the selection process for the award of the scholarship.
  • If found at the later stage, the submitted documents are incorrect, then the scholarship facility will be withdrawn and the next eligible student will be considered.
  • If the number of deserving candidates are more, then the amount shall be equally distributed among all selected students. This clause is applicable to Prof. M. S. Pillai Memorial Scholarship and Bala Sir Memorial Scholarship.
  • All the documents/certificates which are submitted must be valid for the current academic year i.e. 2025-2026.
  • If the student/s has paid the initial fees and subsequently selected for the scholarship the surplus amount paid by them (If any) will be refunded to him/her.
  • The decision of the scholarship selection committee would be final.

All programs run under the aegis of the Sri Balaji University are specially approved for education loan from  Propelld , Tata Capital , Punjab National Bank , Axis Bank , Bank Of Baroda , IDFC First Bank , Credenc , AVANSE , Bank Of Maharashtra

Sri Balaji University, Pune has signed MoUs with these banks. An education loan can be availed from any of the mentioned banks/NBFCs. However, students have the liberty to approach any other bank as per their convenience.

The LLB program is a three-year integrated course designed for students who have completed their 12th standard (higher secondary) education.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 30% for open category and 43% for reserved category.
