Balaji School of Law (BSL) offers a five-year integrated course designed to equip students with a solid foundation in both the law and humanities. This curriculum blends academic excellence with practical experience to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework and its social relevance. The curriculum is actively debated and involves a wide range of core legal titles (Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Rights) as well as interdisciplinary topics (Political Science, Economics, Sociology).

BSL students are taught in an industry-driven style. The syllabus includes interactive moot court activities, placements, legal internships, in recognized law firms and corporates and presentations from top legal stars (luminaries). As a result of the school's emphasis on ethics and professionalism, graduates are not only legally competent individuals, but also socially competent citizens. With the most advanced infrastructure, the trained faculty and with a curriculum that heavily invests in experiential learning, the BA LL.B program at BSL is a launching pad for ambitious new entrants in the field of law trained to succeed in wide ranging fields including litigation, corporate law, policy and judicial practice.

A candidate from any stream

  • Should have passed 12th Std. Examination (H.S.C.10+2) with minimum 50% of marks and English as a passing subject
  • Three Years Diploma Course from Board of Technical Education, conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent, after S.S.C. i.e. 10th Standard
  • A candidate should have scored minimum 50 % marks in qualifying examination. (Minimum 45% for SC/ST candidates)

    • PO1: Legal Knowledge and Understanding: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of fundamental legal principles, concepts, and systems and understand the historical and contemporary contexts of law, including national and international legal frameworks.
    • PO2: Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills: Apply critical thinking to analyze legal issues and cases and to develop well-reasoned arguments and provide solutions to complex legal problems.
    • PO3: Research & Communication Skills: Conduct effective legal research using various resources, including statutes, case law, legal databases, and academic literature and to evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources to support legal arguments and communicate legal arguments clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing and draft clear, precise, and well-structured legal documents, including memos, briefs, and contracts.
    • PO4: Ethical and Professional Responsibility: Understand and apply ethical principles and professional responsibilities in legal practice and demonstrate integrity, accountability, and respect for confidentiality in all professional activities.
    • PO5: Advocacy and Negotiation Skills: Develop and demonstrate effective advocacy skills in litigation and alternative dispute resolution and negotiate effectively, representing clients' interests in various legal contexts.
    • PO6: Global and Multicultural Awareness: Recognize the impact of globalization on legal systems and practice and appreciate and respect cultural diversity and its implications for legal practice and justice.
    • PO7: Technology and Legal Practice: Utilize modern technology and digital tools in legal research, practice management, and communication and stay abreast of technological advancements and their implications for the legal profession.

    • PSO1: Interdisciplinary Approach: Demonstrates the interconnection in between Law and Economics, Law and Society, Law and Literature, Law and Psychology, Criminology, Victimology.
    • PSO2: Cultural Sensitivity:  Understanding the Anthropology of Law, Law and Society, Indigenous Peoples' Rights, Cultural Heritage Law.
    • PSO3: Moral Reasoning: To understand the Philosophy of Law, Moral and Ethical Foundations of Law, Law and Morality, Ethical Theories and Legal Practice.

  • Eligible students can apply online. After scrutiny of the applications, eligible candidates will be informed the schedule of Brief Interactive Session & Personal Interview (PI)
  • Need to Clear SBEST LLB test to be conducted by Sri Balaji University Pune, (SBUP) Pune.

The entrance exam is optional in nature. Students should take this entrance exam under the following conditions –

  • Did not appear for CLAT / MAH-CET / LSAT / CUET / AILET
  • To improve the scores of the above-mentioned exams attempted, can opt for SBEST-LLB

Brief Interactive Session - Student will have an opportunity to interact with senior faculty/Director to clear their doubts regarding the program.

Personal Interview - Experts will interview and assess the candidates on various parameters including the suitability of the candidates.

Refund Policy

* Caution money or security deposit, which are not part of the fees chargeable, shall be refunded in full.

** In case of (1) in the table above, the entire fee (after the deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs. 1,000) shall be refunded to the student by the University concerned institution.

Basic Eligibility Criteria for all Scholarship

  • The candidate must apply through Sri Balaji University, Pune’s online admission process.
  • The candidate must clear SBUP’s selection process (GD, PI and Essay).
  • Eligible students may apply for one or more scholarships separately by clicking on the below links before the stipulated date and time.
  • If the candidate is eligible, he/she will be awarded only one scholarship for which he/she is eligible.
  • If student of second Year is applying for scholarship, then such student must have passed with minimum 60% marks in earlier year.
  • If student of second Year is applying for scholarship, then such student should not have any backlog in Internal as well as external subjects.
  • The students applying for scholarship should have minimum 75% LHR in the earlier semesters/year.
  • The students applying for scholarship should not have his / her name in the red list.
  • Any student who is found with in disciplined behavior in earlier year/semester shall be disqualified.
  • The existing scholarship recommended to each student is for the current Academic Year 2025-2026.
  • If any student who has been granted the scholarship cancels the admission or discontinues the program in subsequent year, the scholarship amount shall be recovered.

  • Note
  • The list of eligible students who are finally selected for the scholarship will be declared after the scrutiny of all the supporting documents (from the competent authorities) by the scrutiny committee and the completion of the selection process for the award of the scholarship.
  • If found at the later stage, the submitted documents are incorrect, then the scholarship facility will be withdrawn and the next eligible student will be considered.
  • If the number of deserving candidates are more, then the amount shall be equally distributed among all selected students. This clause is applicable to Prof. M. S. Pillai Memorial Scholarship and Bala Sir Memorial Scholarship.
  • All the documents/certificates which are submitted must be valid for the current academic year i.e. 2025-2026.
  • If the student/s has paid the initial fees and subsequently selected for the scholarship the surplus amount paid by them (If any) will be refunded to him/her.
  • The decision of the scholarship selection committee would be final.

All programs run under the aegis of the Sri Balaji University are specially approved for education loan from  Propelld , Tata Capital , Punjab National Bank , Axis Bank , Bank Of Baroda , IDFC First Bank , Credenc , AVANSE , Bank Of Maharashtra

Sri Balaji University, Pune has signed MoUs with these banks. An education loan can be availed from any of the mentioned banks/NBFCs. However, students have the liberty to approach any other bank as per their convenience.

The BA LL.B program is a five-year integrated course designed for students who have completed their 12th standard (higher secondary) education.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 50% for open category and 45% for SC and ST.

SBEST is compulsory exam for all students.
